In the first quarter of 2024, the prices of information and communication services show a modest cyclical decline (-0.1%) and increase by 1.4% on a trend basis. The prices of professional, scientific and technical activities do not vary in cyclical terms and record a slowing annual growth (+2.0%, from +4.7% in the fourth quarter of 2023). Producer prices of rental services, travel agencies and business support services grew by 1.1% compared to the fourth quarter of 2023. On an annual basis, their growth slowed (+1.9%, from +4.1% in the previous quarter).
For the total market, business and consumer, in the first quarter of 2024, producer prices of services recorded a cyclical increase of 1.0% and a trend growth of 2.8%.
