Wicked Changes Release Date, Avoids Direct Comparison with Oceania 2

WickedUniversal’s film adaptation of the Broadway show, will hit theaters in the U.S. on November 22, five days earlier than expected. It was originally scheduled to open on November 27, the same day as Oceania

from Disney. On its new release date,
Wicked
is cleverly avoiding a box office battle royale against another musical film that appeals to the same demographic.

No, Wicked
It avoided direct competition but will still have some rivals. The film will debut on the same day as Paramount and Ridley Scott’s historical epic Gladiator IIalthough presumably there is much less target coincidence in this case.

Wicked

The executive producers are David
Nicksay
, Stephen Schwartz e Jared
LeBoff
