For the death of Francesco Morriello, the sixteen year old who lost his life in a road accident between Auletta and Buccino while he was returning home on his motorbike after an evening spent with friends in Sicignano degli Alburni, the Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the crash. And also to understand all the steps: from the transfer of the young man from the hospital in Polla to the one in Naples, to the moment in which the emergency services and the police were alerted.
The accident happened along state road 19, in the territory of Aulettanear a car repair shop. From what has been reconstructed so far, Francesco would have lost control of his motorbike for reasons still being ascertained. The investigations, conducted by the Carabinieri of the Sala Consilina company and the Auletta station, are underway to clarify the exact circumstances of the incident. The investigators have acquired the images from the cameras surveillance in the area to check if there are other vehicles involved. But this possibility seems remote.
Around 2am, some of Francesco’s friends found the young man injured on the side of the road and immediately called for help. The boy was rushed to the emergency room of the hospital in Polla by some relatives. Given the seriousness of his condition, the doctors decided to transfer him to the Cardarelli in Naples. Where he later died. The body was placed under seizure.
