First day of Wimbledon 2024 in the archive. Several Italians have passed the round including Jannik Sinner and Matthew Caps. The two will compete in an all-Italian second round between two grass specialists. A threat not to be underestimated for the world number 1 against the former 2021 finalist. A competition that will have its winner on Sunday 14 July, the same day as the Euro 2024 final.
Who will win each quarter of the big draw? Betway has drawn up the odds of who will be able to reach the respective quarters first. Jannik Sinner at the top of the list at 1.45 for the first quarter, followed by Danil Medvedev (6.50) and Grigor Dimitrov (7.00). Carlos Alcaraz is the favorite for the second part at 1.40, Casper Ruud is far behind at 8. The third quarter is very balanced and led by Alexander Zverev at 3.50, immediately behind Draper at 5.50 and Fritz at 6.5, only 7 for Stefanos Tsitsipas. The last part of the draw sees Novak Djokovic in contention for the victory at 1.65, Hurkacz’s overtaking is at 4.50.
Sinner’s part of the draw is the favorite to win the tournament at 2.25, followed by the second (3.25), fourth (3.25) and finally third led by Zverev (8.50). The odds of the upper part of the draw for the final victory are more likely than the lower part: 1.50 vs 2.45. dg/AGIMEG
