The European football championship on TV continue to dominate the ratings challenges, collecting another evening without rivals. Yesterday, Monday 1 July, the highlight of the evening television menu was the match Portugal-Slovenia which put access to the quarter-finals at stake, which ended with a penalty shootout that rewarded Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates. The challenge literally dominated the evening’s television even in the absence of solid alternatives. On paper, the main antagonist was supposed to be the third episode of the Bar seriesdot on Canale 5, which however collapsed miserably after being threatened by the Rai 3 film Mto the United StatesLet’s find out how it went and what were the tops and flops of the evening.
TV ratings yesterday 1st July (prime time): Euro2024, Bardot and Mai United States
As anticipated, the European Football Championship broadcast on Rai 1 won the ratings challenge on Monday 1 July once again. Portugal-Slovenia, in fact, collected numbers monster: 5,450,000 viewers equal to 31.9% share, one of the highest results in recent days. On Canale5, however, the flop of the series Bardot should be noted, which in its third and final episode collapsed to 7.2% with 1,223,000 viewers. On Rai2 Dawn – Whispers in the Night riveted 681,000 viewers equal to 3.9%, while on Italia1 the cult film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 was watched by 723,000 viewers (4.3% share). Noteworthy is the good result of Mai Stati Uniti on Rai 3, which earned the trust of 1,102,000 viewers (6.2%) making it the third most watched program of the evening. On Rete 4, the usual Monday episode of Quarta Repubblica obtained 744,000 viewers (5.6%), a rather disappointing result especially considering the boom at the debut of the competitor In Onda Prima sera, which on La7 scored 1,183,000 viewers with a 6.2% share.
Early evening TV ratings: Insegno drops, Rete 4 ok
As for the access prime time challenge, Reazione a Catena by Pino Insegno remains the most watched program (3,163,000 viewers equal to 23.3% share) but the numbers of the Rai 1 game show continue to be slightly down compared to the past weeks. On Canale5, Caduta Libera (rerun) settled at 2,053,000 viewers (15.8%), while 4 di Sera on Rete 4 (the new program by Poletti and Barra) collected 738,000 viewers with 4.2% share, confirming itself at higher levels than its predecessor Prima di domani by Bianca Berlinguer.
