From the group stage to the final, here is the “Road to the Final” of the two title contenders!
Group Stage**: Ademola Lookman**
Drawn in Group A, the challengers to Lookman’s goal in the group stage were: De Ketelaere’s surface-to-air missile in the return match against Frosinone and Scamacca’s double header (the backheel against Empoli, already Goal of the Month for October and the spin against Torino, GOTM for May-June) who, spoiler alert, would then make a sensational return in the subsequent stages.

Instead, placed in group C, the heel-click of Muriel and Goal of the Month of December, has instead found as “roommates”: a doppelganger (Lucho’s slalom in the UEL against Sturm Graz), Koopmeiners’ precision shot against Genoa (and even in this case the spoilers are wasted) and De Ketelaere’s soft touch against Lecce on a perfect assist from the outside by Scamacca…
