Another anti-pickpocketing and anti-robbery operation was carried out inside the metro stations in the center and at Roma Termini Station, by the State Police officers of the Rome Police Headquarters.
The agents of the Viminale Police Station arrested a Peruvian citizen for the crime of improper robbery committed against a subject who was about to take the tram. In addition, an arrest warrant was made, in via Manin, against two other subjects who robbed, in collaboration, an Italian citizen of a gold chain.
During the year, the Police Headquarters carried out specific services on a weekly basis to combat predatory crimes, often committed by South American citizens; as part of these activities, approximately 560 were reported to the Judicial Authority, with arrests and reports, as perpetrators of various crimes.
In particular, it is worth mentioning the Matador operation of the Flying Squad, coordinated by the Rome Prosecutor’s Office, which in recent months has allowed the execution of 8 precautionary measures in prison against 8 citizens of South American origin, for criminal association aimed at committing thefts with dexterity and improper use of cards. Similar specific services will continue in the coming days
