“My Favorite Songs”
From Cipriano de Rore to K. Jarrett between composition and improvisation

Between composition and improvisation, the proposed musical path does not follow a precise chronological order, but rather reveals itself through aesthetic or sensorial affinities. It opens with music that ranges from the late Renaissance (Cipriano de Rore) to, with a leap of centuries, Chick Corea, to the “poetic tales” of Maestro Enrico Pieranunzi, to Fred Hersh with the pastoral dedicated to Schumann.
Going up in latitude you immerse yourself in the Nordic atmospheres of the Swedish jazz musician Lars Danielsson and the thousand musical facets of the virtuoso guitarist Pat Metheny. Following are two more excerpts from “In a Baroque Mood”, the latest recording in which ancient music and contemporary languages merge.
The program ends with the melodies of “My song” by K.Jarrett which inspired the project, and the original composition “Time goes away”.
