During the home-video promotion of Ghostbusters: Glacial Menace, Ernie Hudson he came back to talk about The Raven reiterating his disinterest in the remake directed by Rupert Sanders with Bill Skarsgard as Eric Draven.

Ernie Hudson, who played Sergeant Darryl Albrecht in Alex Proyas’ film with Brandon Lee, explains:

It’s very difficult for me. I love The Crow and am so grateful to have been a part of it – and I say that now after all these years. Up until now, it’s been very, very difficult. To me, Brandon was The Crow. I love James O’Barr, he’s a good friend, and I’m happy to see the franchise moving forward, but Eric Draven… he’s Brandon, and I think they’re trying to build on that character. But he is The Crow and there may be other stories. Brandon… he was Eric and that version is him. It’s complicated for me to think of anyone else in that role. But I’m happy for them, it’s an industry, there’s a fan base, but make it different. No one has approached me or contacted me about the new film, but I wish them the best. But I have no desire to see that film, I’m too emotionally involved.
