On the day in which the “Legality Day”, an anniversary that commemorates the victims of the mafia, 32 years after the Capaci massacre, in which judge Giovanni Falcone, his wife and the police escort lost their lives, the police commissioner of Caserta, Andrea Grassi, participated in the meeting organized at the “Lener” school institute of Marcianise.
With the students, the commissioner highlighted the value of memory, in entrusting the ideals of legality and justice to future generations. At the event, in which the figures of Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino emerged as servants of the State and victims of duty, the head teacher of the Institute, the mayor of Marcianise and two agents of the State Police, daughters of victims of the duty, who brought their experience and testimony.
On the topic of legality and the memory of the victims of the mafia, the vicar of the Caserta Police Commissioner attended, in Sparanise, the naming of a public space after Rosario Livatino, a young magistrate murdered by the mafia, to whom a commemorative stele was also dedicated. In recent days, however, at the “Melzi” palace in Santa Maria Capua Vetere, the Police Commissioner, as part of the “legality days”, participated in the conference organized by the Department of Law of the “Vanvitelli” University, where speakers Lucia Borsellino and Antonino Salvia, children of victims of organized crime.
