LADISPOLI – The restyling of the bell tower of the Santa Maria del Rosario church has officially begun. An intervention financed with 8 per thousand funds from the Catholic Church for the happiness of the faithful and of Monsignor Alberto Mazzola. The parish priest had made an appeal to the faithful several times to also make a contribution to help the church and the diocese of Porto Santa Rufina cover the huge expenses. For years the bells have practically not tolled for holidays but not even for weddings and funerals. Don Alberto had been forced to silence the bell tower for safety reasons due to leaks and cracks that could have caused structural failure in the event of strong vibrations. Among other things, these critical issues emerged after some technical assessments. The construction site relating to the restoration and conservative rehabilitation works at the Santa Maria del Rosario parish centre, involving over half a million euros, should be completed in the next few months, precisely at the end of July. Furthermore, work on the cycle path in via Venezia has also begun in the same area: the extension towards the train station from the public gardens of via Ancona.

The parish complex was built way back in 1912, it was the first church built in Ladispoli, which overlooks the ancient Via Duca degli Abruzzi.
