The regional councilor for Civil Protection of Friuli Venezia Giulia Riccardo Riccardi carried out an inspection this morning in the localities of the territory most affected by the landslides caused by bad weather of the last days. In detail, the councilor flew by helicopter over the areas affected by the landslides that occurred in the Municipalities of Bitter (on the A23 motorway and on the public military road Amaro-Campiolo), Treppo-Ligosullo (municipal road to Castel Valdajer) e Tolmezzo (Cazzaso locality).

To Amaro – Riccardi noted – the situation is monitored to define which types of interventions are necessary in order to completely restore traffic on the A23, currently reopened in the Carnia-Pontebba section towards Udine and closed in the opposite direction. The Ligosullo landslide is the one that had the greatest impact (over 2 thousand cubic meters of material) but fortunately on a road that is not very busy: in this case it will be necessary to proceed both with the removal of the soil that occupies the entire roadway and with its safety measures. of the ridge. Finally, in Cazzaso we are talking about a landslide phenomenon that has already occurred on previous occasions of heavy rainfall and which has been monitored for some time.”
