The President of the ANDE, Dr. Carola Depaoli, announces that a meeting entitled “Artificial Intelligence 5.0: Opportunities, Risks, Ethical Aspects” will be held on Saturday 6 April at 10.00 am at the Lucchesiana Library in Agrigento. .

The event follows a first meeting, held last February at the ECUA, aimed at students from the city’s high schools.

Meeting entitled “Artificial Intelligence 5.0: Opportunities, Risks, Ethical Aspects”

The topic, already addressed at the Senate of the Republic by the national ANDE which identified it as a priority issue of its 2024 Agenda, will be brought to the public’s attention by the speakers: Prof. Francesca Patti, ANDE board member; Prof. Eng. Salvatore Gaglio, Full Professor of Computer Engineering at UNIPA; Prof. Francesco Pira, Associate Professor Sociology UNIME; Don Angelo Chillura, Director of the Lucchesiana Library.

The meeting arises from the need to clarify a topic that is much discussed today on which prejudices and information that are not always correct have harmed and fueled debates and conflicting opinions which the event wants to contribute to restoring to their real dimensions, in the certainty that can stop when faced with changes and that “it is necessary to know the technology to govern it best”.
