Germany is preparing to host the European Championships in the summer of 2024, a continental event that will offer the trophy won by Roberto Mancini’s Italy in the summer of 2021. The event – which will also see the Azzurri participating – will be played in ten different German cities between June 14th and the July 14th next. Berlin, Cologne, Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Dortmund, Leipzig, Gelsenkirchen, Stuttgart and Düsseldorf will be the venues, but when will you be able to buy tickets for the event?
European Championship Tickets 2024 – UEFA only official channel
The one and only partner to interface with for EURO 2024 tickets is UEFA. The first step is to register on the appropriate portal. A first sales phase has just concluded. The coupons were assigned via lottery: those who “won” were informed via email of the success of the operation in recent days.
A new presale phase will start after December 2, 2023, the date on which the group stage of the event will be drawn. The exact date is not yet known, but candidates for a ticket this time will know the composition of the groups. It will therefore be possible to choose tickets for the matches of the national teams that actually qualified for the final phase of the tournament.
European Tickets 2024 – How many tickets can you buy
According to the regulations, you can request up to a maximum of four tickets for each match. It is not possible, explains UEFA, to make requests for larger groups. Requesting one or more tickets does not mean that the transaction will be successful. This is because the tickets are assigned via lottery, drawing from all the requests.

For the 51 matches that will give life to EURO 2024 they have been made available in total 2.7 million tickets. After the first phase, which has just ended, about half have been sold. But demand remains strong. During the first phase UEFA received over 20 million of requests for 1.2 million tickets. Hence the need to organize, for each phase, a real lottery to draw the lucky winners.
European Tickets 2024 – Prices to attend the matches
Tickets have been divided into four categories and vary based on price. The cheapest, Fans First, are counterbalanced by categories 3, 2 and 1. Around 270 thousand tickets were put on sale at 30 euros eachone million a 60 euros or less. For the final, even 10 thousand tickets can be purchased at less than 100 euros.
Tickets will be nominal. When ordering, the user making the request can already indicate the names for the other coupons in addition to her. At a later stage, the names of ticket holders will have to be provided via a UEFA application.
European Tickets 2024 – Ticket resale
To avoid the phenomenon of “secondary ticketing”, which is very present on the Internet, and therefore the resale of tickets at unfairly increased prices, UEFA has decided to create an exchange platform for tickets. The tool will be available from spring 2024, so fans can resell coupons at the purchase price.
