The Corriere dello Sport has taken stock of the future of Victor Osimhen, Napoli striker: “Next week the first meeting of Antonio Conte’s Napoli. Victor Osimhen could also be on the call. His transfer has not been unblocked, his farewell is still pending, the clause is high and the English clubs, who have sought him, consider it excessive. They will not spend 130 million for Conte’s centre-forward but they seem unconvinced even in the event of a discount from De Laurentiis who, in any case, would only consider offers starting from 100 million. Under these conditions it is difficult to imagine a turning point in the Premier League for Osimhen, and yet England is his historic dream, the ambition of the child who became a champion. Osimhen has waited and continues to do so, from Nigeria he is enjoying the last days of his vacation, he is in constant contact with his agent Roberto Calenda but he knows well that if there are no developments in a few days the immediate future is called Naples. If Osimhen accepts the idea of giving up the Premier League, here are various hypotheses opening up. Ligue 1, for example, because PSG has not yet provided for the replacement of Mbappé. The dream of the French is Kvara who however is very secure from Napoli, so Osimhen can become an opportunity again. Then there is always the Arab track, in particular Al-Ahli: it would not be a problem for the club to satisfy both, De Laurentiis on the price and Osimhen on the salary, but in this case the Nigerian would have to review his priorities. He wants to stay in Europe and play in the Champions League, but there could come a point in the summer in which making compromises would become inevitable”.
