Jannik Sinner dominaand not just in the ATP rankings. The South Tyrolean champion has in fact closed 2025 by winning the title of highest earning tennis player in the world (in relation to the time spent on the pitch). Almost 130 thousand euros per hour, for him, considering exclusively the singles matches on the ATP circuit. A monster figure – the equivalent of a luxury supercar – that no other player has been able to approach in the last season. Not even arch rival Alcaraz. Here are all the details

Jannik Sinner, the earnings record in 2025

Sinner confirms himself as the absolute championalso thanks to the record takings set this year on the tennis courts. The data emerges by crossing the overall prize money for 2025 and the hours actually played in ATP tournaments. Despite the three-month disqualification imposed by WADA – which limited Jannik’s haul to 64 matches and 125 hours of play – the blue player won six tournaments and ended the year with 16,245,449 euros in prizes in singular. Doing the math, therefore, he brought home the beauty of 129,963 euros for every hour spent on the pitch.

If exhibitions are added to the ‘official’ tournaments, such as the Six Kings Slam in Riyadh, then i overall earnings of the South Tyrolean rise to 25 million dollars. And they further confirm our champion’s ability to ‘monetise’ the qualities displayed on the pitch.

The sfida (vinta) with Alcaraz to Djokovic

Immediately behind Sinner is Carlos Alcarazfresh from the change of coach after the long association with Juan Carlos Ferrero. The Spaniard, who ended the year with two Slam wins and number one in the ATP ranking, spent 157 hours on the tour courts, for an average of 101,790 euros per hour. His seasonal prize money obviously remains higher than that of many colleagues, but the greater amount of time played lowers the hourly yield compared to his Italian rival.

In third placeInstead, we find Novak Djokovic. The Serbian champion, despite having reduced the number of tournaments played, has collected 109 hours on the pitch, with an average of 39,978 euros per hour. In 2025 he reached the semi-final in all four Slams and won two ATP titles, in Geneva and Athens, where he won in the final Lorenzo Musetti. As for the blue, author of a season of the highest level, he placed in ninth place in this special ranking of earnings, with 138 hours of play on the circuit and an average of 28,839 euros per hour of play.

No one, therefore, has managed to come close to Sinner’s record. Which closed a special year with this very particular satisfaction, both in sporting and personal terms. For the South Tyrolean, in fact, this was the year of the formalization of the relationship with Laila Hasanovic. From the emotional sphere to the work sphere, everything went in the right direction. And the hope is that 2026 will also prove to be another year worth remembering.
