The remake of Splinter Cell Ubisoft also missed the last Ubisoft Forward, so fans have no choice but to fall back on “homemade” products.

After Splinter Cell Blacklist (still available on Amazon), the action-stealth series is in fact still absent from the scene.

A teaser trailer for the remake of the first episode is the only thing that hinted at the return of Sam Fisher.

In May, we shared the first WIP video of an upcoming RTX Remix Mod per Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell.

A few days ago, modder “skurtyyskirts” shared another video, showing the effects of Path Tracing, as also reported by DSO Gaming. You can find everything just below, in the usual dedicated player.

As already mentioned, this is also a work in progress movie. This means that there are still numerous defects and graphical problems to be solved.

The good news is that once – and if – the mod is completed, this might be the best way to relive the classic. Splinter Cell.

So, for all the die-hard Sam Fisher fans out there, this mod might turn out to be a better “remake” than the official one.

In any case, there is a lot of potential here. Let’s hope skurtyyskirts continues to work on it properly.

As for the official remake currently in the works, the only things we know are that the game will reportedly feature ray-traced reflections and audio, which will impact gameplay in previously unseen ways.

But not only that: still speaking of the remake, several months ago the developers wanted to clarify that, even if the game will not be a true open-world, exploration and innovation will be key points of the experience.

Finally, to conclude, we also remind you that on the pages of SpaceGames find the ranking of the best and worst chapters of the Ubisoft stealth saga dedicated to Sam Fisher.
