Max returns in Life is Strange Double Exposure: there is a release date

Life is Strange Double Exposure was announced surprisingly during theXbox Game Showcase 2024complete with release date.

An announcement that comes with a certain surprise because, in addition to some rumors about the existence of Life is Strange 3there was nothing to suggest the franchise could realistically return.

Once again by Deck Nine, authors of Life is Strange True Colors (you can find it on Amazon) this time the team takes charge of telling a story in the shoes of a grown up girl Maxine, protagonist of Life is Strange original:

Life Is Strange Double Exposure is not only a return for the beloved narrative adventure series, but also a return for its original star, Max Caulfield. It will be interesting to understand what the canonical ending to be respected in the first chapter will be at this point.

Several years after leading her through Arcadia Bay, Double Exposure sees Max return later in life, now an artist-in-residence at the prestigious Caledon University.

Unfortunately, calamity is never far away: Max’s friend, Safi, is killed and we find ourselves immersed in a real murder mystery, with a supernatural touch.

Max’s original power to rewind time has transformed into the ability to completely shift timelines, and we will explore two parallel realities: one in which Safi is safe and well, and the other following her death to discover the identity of his killer.

Life is Strange Double Exposure will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC from October 29, 2024, and there will also be a version for Nintendo Switch.

Furthermore, it will be available in three editions: Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate. Players can pre-order the Ultimate Edition now to gain advanced access to Chapters 1 and 2 on October 15, 2024, two weeks before the release of the full game.
