CFMoto, the new 800MT ES with electronic suspension arrives – News

CWith this version, the Chinese brand clearly aims to win over motorcyclists looking for comfort on long journeys, ease of use and premium features, without giving up brilliant performance and a competitive price.

The heart of the 800MT ES project is the new semi-active electronic suspension system developed in collaboration with KYB. The upside-down front fork offers 160 millimeters of travel, while the rear monoshock reaches 150.
Electronic management allows the suspension response to be automatically adapted based on the selected riding mode, the road surface conditions and the load of the motorbike (rider, passenger and luggage).
The result is a more stable bike on the highwaymore comfortable on long journeys and more controllable when the asphalt becomes rough. A solution designed especially for those who use the motorbike in 360 degrees, from daily journeys to multi-day trips.

Under the fairing it remains the well-known 799 cc parallel twin liquid-cooled, a unit now well known for its elasticity and reliability. The engine delivers around 90 horsepower at 9,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 75 Nm, values that place it among the most brilliant proposals in the category.
The power delivery is designed to be fluid at low revs and full-bodied in the central area of the rev counter, an ideal characteristic for relaxed driving on the road, quick overtaking and mixed routes and mountain roads.
The six-speed gearbox is combined with an anti-slipper clutch, which improves control during more decisive downshifts. A weakened version for A2 license is also planned, broadening the pool of potential buyers.

The 800MT IS fa a clear step forward also on the electronic controls front. The equipment includes four driving modes that modify engine response and control intervention, traction control, Bosch Cornering ABS, stability control.
A complete package that increases safety and makes the motorbike more intuitive even for the less experienced, without however taking away pleasure from those who love more dynamic riding.

The braking system is entrusted to J.Juan, a well-established brand in the sector. At the front we find two 320 mm discs with four-piston radial calipers, while at the rear there is a single 260 mm disc.
The 19-inch wheels at the front and 17 at the rear confirm the road vocation of the ES, while still allowing for some excursions on light dirt roads.

CFMoto has also worked a lot on ergonomics and perceived quality. The 800MT ES is equipped with a large and easily readable 8-inch TFT display, full-LED lighting, backlit controls, and a 19-litre tank suitable for long journeys.
The riding position is relaxed, with a wide saddle and wide handlebars, designed to reduce fatigue on longer stages. The declared curb weight is 231 kilograms.

From an aesthetic point of view, the 800MT ES maintains the family feeling of the range, with robust lines and an imposing front. Two colors are available: Neptune Blue and Nebula White.
With the 800MT ES CFMoto decisively enters the territory occupied by models such as Yamaha Tracer 9, BMW F 850 GS and KTM 890 SMT, focusing on a particularly aggressive equipment/price ratio.

Official prices and availability have not yet been communicated, but if the price list follows the tradition of the brand, the 800MT ES could become one of the most interesting alternatives in the segment for those looking for advanced technology without spending huge sums.
