Eusebio Di Francesco he will not sit on the Stadium bench. The Lecce coach was disqualified for two matches by the sports judge Gerardo Mastrandrea following the episode which saw him heatedly contest the refereeing of the home match against Como, won by the guests 3-0: the targets of the dispute were the referee Matteo Marchetti and the IV officer Luca Maxims. In the League statement, we read how Di Francesco has “at the 23rd minute of the first half, contested a referee’s decision by addressing seriously insulting epithets to the match director, and also continued the protest at the time of the expulsion order; infringements noted by the Fourth Official”. The coach, who contested the expulsion after the match by declaring “I see coaches throwing away jackets and other things” (words that inevitably evoke the precedents of Massimiliano Allegri), will therefore have to sit in the stands and leave the Turin bench to his deputy, where the Salento team will face Juventus in Luciano Spalletti at the meeting on Saturday 3 January. Among other measures, there is also a ban for the player who has already been warned Diego Carlos of the Como.
