A few more days and then – Sunday 24 September – the home season will begin for Cffs Cogoleto Rugby. Meet at 11am at the Marco Calcagno field with the under 16s, for the first qualifying match for the national phase of the championship which will award the “Mario Lodigiani” trophy.
There are several new features for the 2023-2024 season: first of all, for the 2008-2009 classes, the composition of the team is maintained. Then the forces of Asd Pasturana, a Piedmontese team that brings enthusiasm, combativeness and aptitude for growth, join the Savoleto franchise (a successful alliance between Savona Rugby and the Vespe di Cogoleto).
The coaches Pischedda, Gaggero and Luvarà they have been working on the team for some time to improve schemes, fluidity in attack and consistency in defence, after an initial tough phase of athletic preparation guided by the expert “Red”.
The “administrative practices” office, composite and hypercompetent, is fully deployed with the typical formation: Cavalleri, Covelli, Giacomello, Pintili, Tabor. Arriving on Sunday is the tough Union Rugby Riviera team, very gifted from a physical point of view.
According to Cogolese customs, the first home match of the season it will also be an opportunity for a party which will transform the third half into a lunch for the whole yellow-blue family. Hospitality in the club house will be guaranteed to all supporters of the Vespas and the Copasa franchise.
