Two weeks dedicated to all sports disciplines and psychophysical well-being for everyone, children, adults and the elderly. It’s about Active Gambettola, the project promoted by the municipal administration – Sports Department in collaboration with the Gambettola sports associations, as part of the WellnessWeek promoted by the Wellness Foundation throughout Romagna. Sports week will be held in Gambettola from Thursday 14th to Sunday 24th September, with free events and activities for everyone and all disciplines at the Fellini Park, which for the occasion will be transformed into an outdoor gym.
“With the Sports Festival – Gambettola Attiva as an administration we want to promote physical activity and well-being as prevention and health tools, for all citizens, with initiatives aimed at involving all age groups – explains the mayor Letizia Bisacchi -. A week that will be dedicated to sport, without barriers, which above all aims to be a new opportunity to move together, experience the community and our spaces”. “I thank all the associations, professionals and sponsors who have joined this call for sport – he adds the Sports councilor Maurizio Pracucci -. For our associations it will be a great opportunity to present the variety of sports on offer in our area.”
We started on Thursday 14 September at 7pm with the “Bike night – Notturna di fine estate” organized by Hobby bike club Mtb, then on Saturday 16 September with “Irontown – Grill’Em All” at 4.30pm at the skatepark of the Fellini park with a Skate context organized by Irontown skateboarding. It continues on Monday 18th Tuesday 19 September with the “Beach at the park” event, beach volleyball tournament, 3 vs 3 mixed (2 men + 1 woman), to be held at Fellini park, organized by Asd Facile volleyball together with Imc Gambettola volleyball.
The key day will be Saturday 23 September from 3pm to 7pm at Fellini park with all the Gambettola sports associations that will offer free activities and demonstrations for everyone: L’Aura studio – micro movement – Tan shui – Laughter yoga for children; Antigravity freedom Rebecca Pinder; Tennis school tennis club; Dance study center – Eleonora Pandolfini; Acrobatic gymnastics – Olympia; Gambettola junior football with mini football tournament; Kodokan judo – Danilo Nicolì; Pole dance – Samanta Zoffoli. This year there will be some new associations that will present themselves and begin to carry out activities in Gambettola: Atmo.sphere Asd with Upside Down Circus – Juggling, balances and acrobatics; Andrea Daltri and Military Dynamic Gymnastics with demonstration and practice exercises for everyone.
The first 500 participants, who actively attend at least three sessions proposed by the sports associations, will be rewarded with Gambettola Attiva t-shirts made by the official sponsor of the event, Sidea. Furthermore, thanks to the collaboration of the local fruit and vegetable companies, Fellini and Antonelli, a snack based on fruit and vegetables will be offered; while Cooperativa Idea will offer drinks.
The initiatives of the Sports Festival will continue on Sunday 24 September with a meeting in Piazza Moro at 9.00 am with “A drop for life” walk to music organized by Avis Gambettola, then Wednesday 27 September at 8.30 pm at the Municipal Stadium of Gambettola, Grande ACD Gambettola vs Junior Gambettola football derby to celebrate the promotion of ACD Gambettola to the Championship of Excellence (free entry).
