First tastes of Serie A1 between Pinerolo and Chieri

On Sunday 17 September, at the Pala Bus Company in Villafranca Piemonte, Wash4green Pinerolo and Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri ’76 met for joint training in view of the start of the women’s volleyball Serie A1. The friendly match started at 8.15pm. The home team started with Cambi as director, Storck as diagonal, D’Odorico and Sorokaite as forward while Cosi and Polder in the center with Moro as first libero. The sextet with which Bregoli’s team started, however, saw Malinov as setter and Grobelna as opposite.

Papa and Madison as spikers, Zakchaiou and Gray in the center while Ilaria Spirito as the first libero. The test was won by Chieresi 3 sets to 1. The partial scores were as follows: 27-29; 17-25; 25-18; 21-25. During the match there was room for everyone from Akrari, to captain Bussoli, to the returnees from the European Championship Ungureanu and Nemeth. Still in the pits Camera is recovering from his injury. Even on the other side, while waiting for Skinner, Omoruyi and Weitzel, Chieri also gave space to everyone from Anthouli to Morello and even Rolando. A good test for both the teams and the fans who already filled the stadium yesterday despite it being a friendly match.

Next appointments

For Pinerolo it was the third joint training session after those with Futura Busto Arsizio and Cuneo Granda S.Bernardo. Victory had come in these two challenges. Second victory for Chieri after the one against Libellula. Defeat against Cuneo and draw against Venelles. On the 23rd the Chieresi will go to Liguria, to Ospedaletti, for the test against Le Cannet. The following weekend, one week before the start of the championship, the teams of Bregoli and Marchiaro will be involved in a quadrangular match with Stuttgart and Mulhouse. The challenges will be held at the PalaFenera and the proceeds will be donated to the painting hospital project which will take care of repainting the Ospedale Maggiore in Chieri. There is less and less left until the start of the championship but the girls are trying to be ready.
