Primoz Roglic can he leave Jumbo Visma? In the aftermath of the Vuelta di Spagna, future scenarios are wasted after the Slovenian rider’s failure to win. He was supposed to be the captain of the Dutch team, chasing the Giro+Tour double which, in the new century, he had only managed to achieve Alberto Contador (in 2008). Primoz Roglic, however, had to settle for 3rd place in the standings, placed behind by his two teammates Sepp Kuss And Jonas Vingegaard (for team orders). The Slovenian won two stages, in Xorret de Catì and the Angliru stage, but we believe that he is not so satisfied after missing out on the general classification. It was important for him after the injury suffered at last year’s Vuelta and, above all, he would have climbed to first place in the roll of honor in the event of a 4th success. Not only that… Roglic was also called to order after the victory over Angliru, when one of his actions put Kuss in difficulty. After that stage, in fact, the order arrived from the team don’t do anything anymore so as not to send the American into crisis who had remained in the red jersey and deserved the final success in the standings. Roglic explained that ‘having’ to just be a wingman wasn’t his thing, but the Jumbo General Manager responded in turn by putting the Slovenian back in line.
