Countdown to the Acsi national volleyball championship to be held from 2 to 4 June in Porto San Giorgio. There will be 20 competing companies from various regions for a total of 820. “We expect to host about 2,300 visitors over the three days of the event – explains the councilor for sport, Fabio Senzacqua -. We will have 12 accommodation facilities occupied for an event that will to occupy 10 plants in the city and one in Pedaso”. One of the main novelties of the edition is the 16-team beach volleyball tournament. The event kicks off in Piazza Matteotti on Thursday 1 June at 21 with the opening ceremony and the following party with DJ set.
The formula of the championship includes two phases: one with group stage and one with direct elimination. Each team will be involved in at least five races. The competition categories Open (men, women and mixed), Under 12 and 13 (men, women and mixed), Under 14 (women), Under 15 (men), Under 16 (women), Under 17 (men), Under 18 (female) and Under 19 (male). The event was promoted and organized by Acsi (Association of Italian Sports Centers), in collaboration with Giuliana Di Venti (Hospitality Experience) in synergy with the Municipal Administration and Ataf: “Tournaments with such large participation are important for the city – remarked the president of ATAF Gianluca Vecchi -. The number of attendance is considerable, the Municipality has also worked in a future perspective. Personally I believe in sport as a resource for tourism”.
