
The countdown begins for an important international event that will take place in the splendid setting of Lungotanaro rugby citadel.
Monferrato Rugby is ready to experience the fabulous two days of the International Rugby Days, an event that will take place on the afternoon of Saturday 1st and on Monday 3rd April at the Casa dei Leoni stadium.
Two partnerships of great international importance will play on the pitch in Asti, there Grange School in the county of Cheshire in England, and St Mary’s College in Dublin.
The first partnership is located near Manchester and will reach Italy with the rugby team and the football team, which will face the Canal in a friendly match, the second Club is the school from which emerged the phenomenal talent Johnny Sexton, captain of the Fresh Irish national team of grand slam and success in the XI Nations.
Sexton also set the points record in the event and is aiming to lead his XV to a World Cup title.
The program provides Saturday 1 April at 3 pm the Under 15 match between Monferrato and Grange School, at 5 pm the same Under 19 match.
Monferrato’s Under 17s will play against St Mary’ on Monday 3 April at 3pm and the two U19 teams will play at 4.30pm. The Club has invited the athletes from Alba, Novi, Pasturana and Piacenza who will take to the field with the players from Asti during the event which will also see San Mauro at the start.
The usual third time that will accompany the comparisons of the various categories will make the scenario magical. A two-day event not to be missed for all enthusiasts.
