The Dutch champion, Verstappen, is at the centre of the controversy, his behaviour risks serious consequences in the paddock.
Formula 1 leaves behind the eleventh Grand Prix of the season, with a series of controversies that will probably characterize the entire second part of the world championship. At the Red Bull Ring, George Russell triumphed, the fifth driver to take home a victory this year, at the end of a crazy race, especially in the final laps.
Max Verstappen led the race until about 10 laps from the end, when Lando Norris managed to close in on the reigning champion, engaging in a battle with the Dutchman. The Briton attempted to overtake several times, first by going off the track and incurring a track limits penalty (he had received the black and white flag a few laps earlier), and then colliding with Verstappen, effectively throwing the race to the wind.
After the contact between the two, both Norris and Verstappen suffered a puncture to a tire, which forced them to return to the pits. The Dutchman returned to the track and finished the race in fifth place, while the British was forced to retire after damaging the car while returning to the pits with three wheels.

At the end of the race, it stands out: Norris’ anger when he spoke about the contact with Verstappen: “I am disappointed and bitter. I expected a tough but fair battle. Max’s movements under braking? There is a rule, you cannot react to the move of the driver behind. The third time he came at me, ruining my race”.
