Hamilton buys a MotoGP team?

The scenario itself is fascinating, as outlined by the rumors. Namely, Lewis Hamilton reportedly interested in taking over a MotoGP team.

Not only fashion, music, cinema – in the role of consultant for the film on F1 produced by Apple -, the food sector, among the extra-F1 interests of the English driver. But also the owner of a MotoGP team, for Hamilton who is already the owner of a team, the X44 team in the Extreme E category (ready to change identity).

Taking over a MotoGP team is what could happen, according to the previews released by The Race. The team in question would be the Gresini structurewho, however, denied the press reconstructions.

F1-MotoGP, not only Liberty Media

Thinking about potential future scenarios, a Hamilton willing to invest in MotoGP would represent another step in the direction of an ideal link with Formula 1. In the Dorna championship, in recent months the acquisition of Liberty Media arrived.

A commitment from Hamilton as owner would bring a little more interest, from a public that is probably currently foreign to MotoGP, towards the operations of the Faenza facility and, by extension, towards the motorcycle world championship.

Again according to press reports, the entourage that follows Lewis Hamilton’s business is evaluating the commercial feasibility (and return) of an investment in the Gresini team (in 2022 the turnover of the company Gresini Racing srl was over 15 million euros). Sponsors who already operate in Formula 1 and MotoGP could also join him in the adventureincluding Petronas and Monster Energy.

A further step for Hamilton, a passionate motorcyclist with his customized MV Agustas, without forgetting the spectacular “challenge” in Valencia in 2019 and the exchange of vehicles with Valentino Rossi, between a Mercedes W08 and a Yamaha M1.
