Cuneo Volley inaugurates the spikers department with the officialization of Karli Allik, an Estonian athlete born in ’96 arriving from Santa Croce sull’Arno, where last year he debuted in the Italian Serie A2 championship. He has played a good one hundred matches with his national team, the latest being those played in the European Golden League 2024.
“I think it’s a step forward in my career to play for Cuneo, I really loved the Palazzetto dello Sport and also the Cuneo fans. I enjoyed playing and living in Italy, I would like to master the Italian language“, these are his first words as a Cuneo player.
Karli, what struck you about Italy?
“Food of course! I also really like Italian culture, it somehow matches my character“.
What do you expect from the next A2 season?
“I am a very optimistic person, so I always try to give my best and get the best results with my team.“.
Have you already had the chance to talk with coach Battocchio? Is there a personal goal you will pursue?
“Yes, Battocchio called me, telling me about the summer programs and giving me some information about the team. One of my personal goals is to become the best hitter in A2“.
