Voices from Argentina: Parma negotiates a 2009 deal from River Plate

There is less and less left until the transfer market opens and Parma will not stand still. But, in addition to the reinforcements of the first team, the ducal club is also looking at prospective shots.

Given that there are many Argentinians in the first team (the veterans Estévez, Valenti, the striker Pellegrino, as well as the new Ordóñez, Troilo and, half of them, Cremaschi) and they provide guarantees, the Parma scouting area is thinking of buying one for the youth team too, who would strengthen both the Under 18 and the Primavera U20 teams. According to what was reported by the sports television channel TyC Sportsthe talented attacking midfielder Lucas Scarlato (class of 2009) – «one of the most promising talents of lower» – would be about to leave River Plate, «protected by parental responsibility and without signing a contract».

169 centimeters tall and nicknamed “Pipa”the player from Buenos Aires – already in the Albiceleste U16 team – did not reach an agreement with the Platen management to sign his first professional contract. «From the club they assure that the proposals were rejected again and again by his representation (Martín Guastadisegno), who had already defined the exit” reports TyC Sports.

From Argentina they are sure and now resigned to leaving: the fate of the young Scarlatos would be in Italy. «Even if months ago it had been linked toInterat River they take it for granted that Parma will be the club that will remain [a trattare, ndr] with Scarlato as a free agentleaving only the training rights for the Millonarios” which must be recognized to the club that “raised” this playmaker, who grew up with the myths of Aimar in Ortega (18 appearances and 3 goals in Parma 1999/2000).
Able to use his right and left indiscriminately, it is said of him that, in addition to having an enviable technique, he does not disdain clawpressing and ball recovery.
