Imani Smiththe former Broadway child actress who starred in The Lion Kingshe is dead. He was 25 years old. The girl was found dead with stab wounds in a home in Edison, New Jersey, on Sunday, December 21, after someone reported a stabbing during a 911 call. According to a press release issued on December 23 by prosecutors, Smith was pronounced dead after being transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
COMPANION ARRESTED
His partner, Jordan D. Jackson-Small, 35, was arrested and charged with murder on Dec. 23, according to Middlesex County, New Jersey Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Edison Police Department Chief Thomas Bryan. He was charged with first-degree murder, child endangerment and possession of a weapon.

He wrote that funds raised through GoFundMe will go toward funeral and memorial expenses, crime scene cleanup at Smith’s home, trauma therapy for his family, legal and administrative costs related to the criminal case over his death, and care for his son and dog.

The GoFundMe page noted that Smith’s mother, Monique, works as a hair stylist for Broadway film and television productions. She has worked as a hairstylist on more than 25 films and television shows since 2010, including this year’s “The Housemaid” and 2022’s “Smile.”
