In the midst of a unanimous chorus of condemnation, comes the the League applauds the USA for denying entry to five European officialsincluding the former Commissioner for the Internal Market, the Frenchman Thierry Breton.
“Unlike Europeincapable of defending itself and its citizens – we read in a note from the Northern League -, the United States decides to set rules establishing who to let in and who not. We are proud to be the only party to have voted against the Digital Services Act wanted by a handful of Brussels bureaucrats and which is the antechamber of censorship, a real European gag law”.

The other two officials who did not have visas are Imran Ahmed, founder of the Center for Countering Digital Hate US/UK, and Clare Melford, founder of the UK-based Global Disinformation Index: both organizations work to counter online hate and disinformation.
