LG announces the new UltraGear series monitors, with 5K display and AI upscaling

LG has officially announced i new monitors from the UltraGear evo serieswhich is expected to debut at CES 2026. These are new high-resolution products designed to combine speed and immersion in different formats, in order to adapt to various needs and preferences. These are precisely three models: 39GX950B, 27GM950B and 52G930B. Let’s see below all the details and the first features officially revealed by LG (the highlighted image is purely indicative).

The new LG UltraGear evo monitors

The first monitor is the 39GX950B model, which is the39-inch UltraGear evo GX9with a new integrated AI solution to analyze and improve content in real time. This product offers 5K-class clarity without requiring GPU upgrades, thanks also to technologies such as AI Scene Optimization and AI Sound. We also find Primary RGB Tandem OLED technology with even more precise colors and greater brightness. The Dual Mode function allows you to immediately switch from 165 Hz with 5K2K resolution to 330 Hz with WFHD, with a response time of 0.03 ms (GtG). The product also includes a curvatura 1500R and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification.

The new LG UltraGear monitors

The second model is the 27GM950B, or the 27-inch 5K GM9 monitor with Mini LED technologythe first in its category to support this resolution. This product features 2,304 local dimming zones which, combined with Zero Optical Distance technology, minimizes the space between panel and LED, along with ultra-high brightness and exceptional contrast accuracy. Even in this case they are present AI-based technologies which allow 5K upscaling and optimization of scenes and audio without overloading the video card.

As for gaming, users can pass from 165 Hz with 5K resolution to 330 Hz with QHDwith a response time of 1 ms. We also find a maximum brightness of 1,250 nits and VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification.

Features of the new 52” monitor

That’s not all, because LG has also announced a 52″ monitor (52G930B), which is the G9 modeldescribed as the world’s largest 5K2K gaming monitor. We find a refresh rate of 240 Hz, a 1000R curvature and VESA Display HDR 600 certification. This product should offer perfect blacks and exceptional contrast.
