Alfonso Signorini suspends himself from Mediaset. The decision came in the midst of the storm that overwhelmed the host Alfonso Signorini following what was stated by Fabrizio Corona in its format «The most false» on YouTube about the fact that there would be an alleged “system” to enter as a competitor or aspirant on the “Big Brother” program. It was Signorini’s lawyers, Daniela Missaglia and Domenico Aiello, who recently took on the defense respectively in civil and criminal proceedings «in the context of the complex affair which sees him victim of serious and continuous criminal conduct”to announce the tenant’s decision, “which has already been communicated to the company”.
«It is the intention of this defense to press charges every detail of this slanderous and defamatory campaignorchestrated with the clear intention of destroying the honourability, respectability and brilliant career of Dr Alfonso Signorini”, the lawyers write, explaining that the self-suspension “has the aim of addressing these very serious illicit conducts, which are evident to all, and above all the widespread reverberation which they find in some nonchalant media”. Gentlemen, «professional who built with scruple, seriousness and self-sacrifice an entire career as a journalist, author, director and television presenter, is forced to suspend all his ongoing editorial commitments with Mediaset as a precaution.”
«Mediaset will act with determination in all locations on the exclusive basis of objective elements and verified facts to counter the spread of defamatory or slanderous contents and reconstructions, to protect respect for people, facts and one’s own interests”: with a severe note, on the matter that pushed Alfonso Signorini to self-suspension as a precautionary measure from the company, the group intervenes by specifying that “as part of a primary listed European group, Mediaset has the duty to protect the integrity of its activities and editorial productsas well as its reputation towards the market and the public”.
However, «at the same time he reiterates that those who work for the company are required to comply with clear principles of correctness, responsibility and transparencyas defined by the Code of Ethics, which is applied without exceptions. All investigations and checks are underway to ensure compliance.” Mediaset “welcomes” Signorini’s decision “to suspend his editorial commitment as a precaution given the need to protect himself and the people involved in the media affair in which he was reluctantly involved”.
Everything comes from November 15 episode of «Falsissimo», entitled «The price of success – part 1» in which the former paparazzi king launched serious accusations to the host of Big Brother claiming that he had made advances to candidates and contestants of the show by showing sexually explicit chats and images.
Signorini’s response came immediately with a lawsuit filed by his lawyer, the lawyer Andrea Righi, which resulted in the opening of an investigation by the PM Alessandro Gobbis and the deputy Letizia Mannellain which Corona was investigated for dissemination of sexually explicit images, and last Sunday the searches in Milan at Corona’s home and at the headquarters of Velvet Cut srlthe company that produces «Falsissimo». The police had a lot of material was seized to analyze.
The search decree states that Corona had put it online an “intimate chat” between Signorini and Antonio Medugnoa tiktoker who participated in the GF, “a selfie” portraying the host “bare-chested” taken from “a confidential chat”in addition to registration of a telephone conversation in which he spoke with an anonymous subject «about material, presumably in the possession of both interlocutors, with an erotic content that would concern» Signorini, including «nude photos or in any case with an erotic content» announcing that he would have distributed other material. Furthermore, Fabrizio Corona said he was «in possession of detailed and shocking chatsi, functional to describe the “Signorini system” and, specifically, the alleged existence of intimate relationships between the injured party (the TV presenter, ndr) and a television personality, who allegedly indulged in sexual relations with Signorini, in order to enter the world of entertainment”.
Furthermore, we still read in the investigation papers, Corona also put it online a phone call with Medugno’s former manager, Alessandro Piscopo, in which there was talk of a “chat with an erotic and sexual content” between Signorini and the model.
Questioned last Tuesday at his request by prosecutors as a suspect, Corona continued to accuse the Big Brother host. «It plays such an important role and with this role you cannot try to solicit contacts and offer him a television programme”, he declared afterwards the interrogation lasted a little less than an hour in which he was assisted by the lawyer Cristina Morrone, also saying that he had opened a “Pandora’s box”. According to the former king of the paparazzi, Signorini was guilty of “a very serious crime”, in essence extortion attempt (requests for favors would not have been successful) to which possibly should also be added that of sexual violence for any abuse suffered by the alleged victims.
«I have my email open and we have a lot of reports. I have collected more than 100 testimonies”, revealed Corona. On the same day Tuesday the lawsuit against Signorini by Antonio Medugnoagain filed by the lawyer Morrone but together with his colleague Giuseppe Pipicella, while a further one could come from the lawyer Leonardo D’Erasmo who assists another former GF, Gianluca Costantino, who claims to have been targeted by Signorini immediately after the 2022 edition of Big Brother.
