Fabian O’Neill is hospitalized at the end of his life in Montevideo. The former Juve footballer, 49, is in intensive care in the Medica Uruguaya clinic in the Uruguayan capital. This was reported by the local newspaper El Pais, which quotes the journalist Alberto Kesman, who wrote on Twitter on Saturday: “News that we would never want to hear but right now a friend of his informs me that Fabian O’Neill is in intensive care at Medica Uruguaya and the doctors are attempting to save his life. O’Neill has always been too good to others and mean to himself. God help him to survive“. The reference is to the alcohol problem and to a rather complicated life once his career is over. O’Neill, speaking of himself in an interview five years ago, explained that “My issues, which have gone on over the years, remain. First of all I had problems with alcohol: after a bladder operation I shouldn’t have touched a glass for three years, but I only lasted a month. It’s better with betting because I have no more money to play“.
Two and a half years ago news of other health problems.
