Graduated in Bologna, Andrea Varnier, 59, born in VeronaA globetrotter by vocation, he began his career in 1992 as the communications director of Chrysler Italia and then became the press office and public relations manager of Honda Automobili Italia. After working at Telecom Italia, from 1999 to 2001 he moved to Image and Tim Promotions.

Varnier began his sporting career in 2001 as the Image and Events Director of Organizing Committee of the 2006 Turin Olympic Winter Games, passing immediately after the end of the Olympics to the role of IOC consultant in the planning sector of Olympic events and ceremonies. In Turin he remained tied by becoming director of Lingotto Fiera in 2007, a role he held until 2011. In 2017 he became CEO of Filmmaster Productionsa video production company born almost 50 years ago in Rome, a giant in the production of commercials but also a producer of Olympic Ceremonies and Olympic torch trips.

In September 2020 he joined Richard Attias & Associates, a multinational of strategic communication (sport and politics) based in New York. His current position – before his appointment to the Milano-Cortina Foundation – that of Chief Executive Officer of Costa Edutainment Spa, the company of the Costa group that manages the most important aquariums and amusement parks in Italy, including that of Genoa.
