DMO ALSO ACCUSED CONFINDUSTRIA BEATS THE FISTS – Radio Più

PROMOTION TO WHOM? CRITICIZING IS A DUTY, NOT A SIN

  • Not long ago, in unsuspecting times, we had already highlighted the “great work” of the DMO… or of those who support it. A job so granitic that a large part of the province didn’t even know the start date of the Olympics, nor what disciplines were involved. “When does Italy play hockey? In Cortina or Alleghe?”… We also recorded this in Piazza dei Martiri in Belluno. Anyone who thinks this is an exaggeration should go and listen to the report broadcast weeks ago, edited by Marina Donà: there are no opinions there, but facts.

We too — and I speak on behalf of the THREE RADIO — we have been incomprehensibly forgotten. Unsubscribe. Ignored. Yet we are talking about organizations that have been providing information, promotion of the territory and public service for years, with verifiable audiences and a constant presence.

In the meantime, rivers of public money have been spent – and continue to be spent – on promotional campaigns that would really be worth studying in depth. Understanding whose brilliant mind they were born, what listening or reading statistics they are based on, and above all who they really benefited. Because there have been few concrete results, at least in terms of widespread and correct information.

Today, finally, even the printed press and, above all, Confindustria have found the courage to react. Better late than never. Because the problem is not “criticizing”, the problem is having remained silent for too long.

When De Zanna says: “Support us, don’t criticize us”on behalf of THREE RADIO there is only one answer: we have always been there. We have been proposing initiatives, collaborations and ideas for some time. For some time we have been knocking on doors that systematically remain closed. Evidently De Zanna & C. prefer other channels. Other interlocutors. More megaphones.

But be careful: asking for support cannot become a way to demand silence. Criticism is not an attack, it is a tool of democratic control. And when public money is managed, criticism is not only legitimate: it is necessary. We are certain – and we truly hope so – that also in light of the recent complaint presented to the Prosecutor’s Office, we will finally be able to clarify the expenses incurred for the promotion, within and outside the provincial borders. Because transparency is not a favor that is granted: it is an obligation. And those who work well have nothing to fear from questions. Those who work badly, on the other hand, only ask not to do them.
