The lyrics to Doctor (Work it out)

I could be your doctor
And I could be your nurse
I think I see the problem
It’s only gon’ get worse
A midnight medication
Just show me where it hurts
I need to rock you, baby
Before your body bursts

Let me work it out (Oh)
Let me work it out, oh yeah
Let lil’ mama work you out (Huh, ah)
Do you wanna work it out? (Wanna work it out? Oh yeah, ow)

You’re my lover (You’re my lover)
I show you sympathy
Take your sugar (Take your sugar)
And pour it into me
Let’s let bygones be bygones and throw it all away
You’re my lover
I wanna hear you say

(I feel like working it out) yeah
If that’s something you wanna do (Uh, uh)
(Yeah, I feel like working it out)
Baby, if you want me to

I could be your doctor
And I could be your nurse
I think I see the problem
It’s only gon’ get worse (Uh, uh)
A midnight medication
Just show me where it hurts (Uh)
I need to rock you, baby
Before your body bursts

Let me work it out (Let me, let me, ah, let me, let me, let me)
Let me work it out, oh yeah (Let me, let me, ah, let me, let me, let me)
Let lil’ mama work you out (Let me, let me, ha, let me, let me, let me)
Do you wanna work it out? Oh yeah (Wanna work it out, yeah, babe)

Are you on the fence?
Stop playing on the side
Are you on the fence?
Don’t waste my damn time (Don’t waste my damn time)
Are you on the fence?
I’ll slip but I won’t slide
Don’t gotta be forever
Just together for the night

(I feel like working it out)
If that’s something you wanna do
(Yeah, I feel like working it out)
Baby, if you want me to

I could be your doctor (I could be your doctor)
And I could be your nurse
I think I see the problem
It’s only gon’ get worse (Uh, uh)
A midnight medication
Just show me where it hurts (Uh)
I need to rock you, baby
Before your body bursts

Let me work it out (Let me, let me, ah, let me, let me, let me)
Let me work it out, oh yeah (Let me work it out, yeah; Let me, let me, ah, let me, let me, let me)
Let lil’ mama work you out (Let me, let me, ha, let me, let me, let me)
Do you wanna work it out? Oh yeah (Wanna work it out, yeah, babe)

Let me, let me, ah, let me, let me, let me
Let me, let me, ah, let me, let me, let me
Let me, let me, ah, let me, let me, let me
Do you wanna work it out? (Wanna work it out, yeah)

The translation of Doctor (Work it out)

I could be your doctor
And I could be your nurse
I think I see the problem
It can only get worse
A midnight drug
Just show me where it hurts
I need to rock you, darling
Before your body explodes

Let me work this out (Oh)
Let me sort this out, oh yeah
Let mama solve your problem (Huh, ah)
Do you want to solve it? (Do you want to solve it? Oh yeah, ow)

You’re my lover (You’re my lover)
I show you sympathy
Take your sugar (Take your sugar)
And pour it inside me
Let’s let bygones be bygones and throw it all away
You are my lover
I want to hear you say it

(I feel like solving it) yes
If it’s something you want to do (Uh, uh)
(Yes, I want to solve it)
Honey, if you want me to

I could be your doctor
And I could be your nurse
I think I see the problem
It’s only going to get worse (Uh, uh)
A midnight drug
Just show me where it hurts (Uh)
I need to rock you, darling
Before your body explodes

Let me work this out (Leave me, leave me, ah, leave me, leave me, leave me)
Let me work it out, oh yeah (Leave me, leave me, ah, leave me, leave me, leave me)
Let mama fix you (Leave me, leave me, ah, leave me, leave me, leave me)
Do you want to solve it? Oh yeah (I want to work it out, yeah, baby)

Are you undecided?
Stop playing sideways
Are you undecided?
Don’t waste my damn time (Don’t waste my damn time)
Are you undecided?
I will slip but I won’t slip
It doesn’t have to be forever
Just together for the night

(I want to solve it)
If that’s something you want to do
(Yes, I want to solve it)
Honey, if you want me to

I could be your doctor (I could be your doctor)
And I could be your nurse
I think I see the problem
It’s only going to get worse (Uh, uh)
A midnight drug
Just show me where it hurts (Uh)
I need to rock you, darling
Before your body explodes

Let me work this out (Leave me, leave me, ah, leave me, leave me, leave me)
Let me work it out, oh yeah (Let me work it out, yeah; Leave me, leave me, ah, leave me, leave me, leave me)
Let mama fix you (Leave me, leave me, ah, leave me, leave me, leave me)
Do you want to solve it? Oh yeah (I want to work it out, yeah, baby)

Leave me, leave me, ah, leave me, leave me, leave me
Leave me, leave me, ah, leave me, leave me, leave me
Leave me, leave me, ah, leave me, leave me, leave me
Do you want to solve it? (I want to work it out, yeah)

The meaning of Doctor (Work it out)

Doctor (Work It Out) is a song produced by musician and designer Pharrell Williams, in collaboration with Miley Cyrus. The song, leaked in a different version for the first time in 2017, has been used in recent weeks during the Louis Vuitton autumn-winter show for Paris Fashion Week. A song that seems to belong to another musical era of the singer, especially after the release of Endless Summer Vacation: in fact in the song Cyrus reports the role play of the doctor and the patient with your partner, urging him to let go of the impulses that repress him. Miley Cyrus promise to be the cure, the drug to hire”at midnight, asking the partner to let himself be treated. There are those who have pointed out how the opening riff of Doctor (Work it out) you look like the intro of I Wanna Be Your Slave of Maneskin, while there are those, like Mattia Marzi on Rockol, resembles an interpolated version of Blurred Lines by Robin Thickeproduced by Pharrell himself in 2013. As Miley Cyrus revealed on Zane Lowe’s Apple podcast, the song was produced in 2012: “We believe in timing so much and during the Grammys, Pharrell and I were talking about releasing the song. There were so many alignments and so many special moments that night: they made me understand that this was the right time“.
