BELLUNO On the afternoon of Saturday 18 November, Piandelmonte hosted a chestnut party which attracted residents of the villages of Tassei, Piandelmonte, Ronce and Medil, as well as some tourists guests of Nevegal. An opportunity to meet in a small village surrounded by peace and greenery, 10 minutes from the center of Belluno, to relive experiences of a recent past: the hamlet of Tassei had over 800 inhabitants, today there are only 80; in the area there were four active schools (Ceresera, Piandelmonte, Ronce and Valmorel), a shift dairy, a sports group that organized sporting events and a village festival. “Today we thank the organizers of this small convivial moment for the commitment they put in every day for these villages, even with the maintenance of the land, the cleaning of the lawns, interventions such as that of the recovery of the Tassei mill; all operations that have attracted new and young families”, comment from the Belluno Alpina association.
