Four consecutive days of celebration, with Christmas and Boxing Day taking place between Thursday and Friday, created the ideal conditions for a particularly strong public response, bringing cinemas back to levels not seen for years.
The first place is obviously occupied by good waywhich signs a debut of exceptional scope. The film directed by Gennaro Nunziante and played by Checco Zalonedistributed by Medusa Moviegrossed 26,866,787 euros in four days, with 3,316,838 spectators and an average of 34,847 euros in 771 cinemas. The comparison with Zalone’s previous titles is inevitable and does not disappoint: Tolo Tolo in 2020 it opened with 21,364,208 euros in the first weekend, while Where am I going? it had grossed 22,792,615 euros in the first three days (it was released on Friday), reaching 27,090,867 euros after four. good way therefore it starts at a very high pace, putting itself forward for a direct comparison with the highest grossing films of periodo post-Covidcurrently held by Inside Out 2 with 46,529,177 euros.

The third place on the podium goes to Nuremberg (Eagle), which grosses 1,649,755 euros, up 30%, with 203,334 spectators and an average of 4,156 euros in 397 cinemas. The total for the film starring Russell Crowe rises to 3,472,692 euros from 18 December, surpassing the direct comparison with the proposal of the same type in 2024, Conclavewhich after two weekends was stuck at 2,701,652 euros.

The figure marks a growth of +257% compared to the previous weekend and +87% compared to the same period in 2024. Some historical references have also been surpassed: the weekend 31 December 2015 – 3 January 2016, when it was released Where am I going?had stopped at 37,131,631 euros, while that of 2-5 January 2020, driven by Tolo Tolohad grossed 30,900,347 euros.
The result of the weekend allows the market to reach 482,701,741 euros in total in 2025substantially in line with 2024, with a gap of 0.3%, and also very close to 2023. Annual attendance stands at 66,617,839, down by 3% on 2024 and 4% on 2023. December confirms itself as the key month, with 81,069,446 euros of takings, up by 36% on 2024 and 68% in 2023, approaching the historical record of December 2002.
