Now we understand why some of the images made with AI look anything but “intelligent.” The Minions have apparently been taken over by AI, at least in the latest trailer for Despicable ME4.
What could go wrong? Well, judging by the first trailer released on the occasion of the Big Game 2024, quite a lot. The super villain returns in what looks like a bold new mission full of chaos, accompanied of course by the Minions. The video shows some minions struggling with artificial intelligence, intent on creating rather unlikely images.
The new chapter begins as Gru, Lucy and their girls – Margo, Edith and Agnes – welcome a new member to the Gru family, Gru Jr., intent on tormenting their father.
As Gru faces a new enemy in Maxime Le Mal and his femme fatale girlfriend Valentina, the family is forced to flee. Despicable Me 4 stars Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Will Ferrell, Pierre Coffin, Joey King, Sofia Vergara, Stephen Colbert, Miranda Cosgrove, Chloe Fineman, Steve Coogan, Chris Renaud, Dana Gaier, Madison Polan and others.
Chris Renaud is the director along with Mike White and Ken Daurio who wrote the screenplay. Despicable Me 4 is co-directed by Patrick Delage and produced by Chris Meledandri and Brett Hoffman and will be released in theaters on July 3.
