Box office Spain: for the Hunger Games prequel a debut of 1.8 million euros

Released in Spanish cinemas last Friday, The Hunger Games – The Ballad of the Nightingale and the Serpent (Summit) immediately earned first place at the national box office with a takings over the weekend of 1,876,671 euros. In Italy the film is currently at 2.3 million euros, but has 2 more days of programming.

Behind the prequel to Hunger Gamesthe second best grosser of the weekend is The Marvels (Disney) which, in its second weekend in theaters, it collected another 498,073 euros (with a -60% drop; as in Italy after all), for a total of 2.3 million. A result similar to the Italian one of 2.8 million, considering that the film was released 2 days earlier in Italy.

Horror closes the podium Five Nights at Freddys (UPI) with 427,634 euros (-56% in its third weekend) for a total of 6.5 million euros. In Italy the film has reached 5.2 million.

Among the new releases, the two that managed to earn a place in the Top 10 are: horror Thanksgiving with 285,287 euros and the re-edition of The Lord of the Rings – The Two Towers with 143,322 euros.

Overall, the Top 20 grosses of the November 17-19 weekend were worth it 4,815,660 euros at the box office; numbers essentially the same as last weekend, when the box office was of 4,890,971 euros.
