Como 1907 announces the signing of the preliminary contract of defender Alberto Dossena, 25 years old, coming from Cagliari, on a four-year contract. Last season he made 35 appearances for the newly promoted rossoblu in their fight for survival in Serie A, contributing two goals and four assists.
Cesc Fàbregas, coach of Como 1907, declared regarding the hiring of Dossena – as can be read on the company’s social channels -: “It is important for us, who have just arrived in a new championship, to invest in players who know and who can compete in Serie A, which Alberto has demonstrated. He is a strong and competitive player who we believe has great potential to grow with us.”
Upon his arrival at the club, Dossena commented: “I am very happy to be here in Como. I had the pleasure of meeting the people of the club and the city. However, what certainly pushed me to come here is the project. The Club has very big ambitions. The coach has given me a lot of energy. The director and the owners – he concluded – have also made me understand how much faith they have in me and therefore I will have to repay it. I can’t wait to start and meet the rest of the team.”
