The children of the 59th reception of the Luciano Lama NGO Association arrived on Tuesday 25 June in various provinces of . They will be hosted by local families until August 7, when they will return to Bosnia and Herzegovina, specifically to Banja Luka, Zenica, Turia and Doboj. This welcoming initiative is a tangible sign of the commitment of the association chaired by Michele Sabatino.

Although the civil war in Bosnia officially ended in December 1995, the country continues to experience significant difficulties. Coexistence between the three main ethnic groups – Croatian Catholic, Serbian Orthodox and Bosnian Muslim – remains complicated, and young people are particularly affected by these tensions.

The Luciano Lama Association is committed to promoting values of equality, love and respect, especially towards the new generations. With this fifty-ninth reception, the association hosted around 18 thousand children from Bosnia in various regions of Southern Italy. Furthermore, the association is active in other humanitarian fields, including economic and cultural ones, extending its intervention to other countries, including those on the African continent.
