Bologna’s extraordinary feat risks remaining an end in itself. Many of the team’s top players are about to leave for other shores
In Bologna the atmosphere that can be felt is still that of a great celebration, of celebrations for the extraordinary feat from the rossoblu coached by Thiago Motta. Qualifying for the Champions League sixty years later is a historic event, an objective that was unimaginable only ten months ago.
The splendid team set up with wisdom and prudence by general director Giovanni Sartori and led by a capable and ambitious technician, however, risks falling apart. Thiago Motta’s farewellwho chose to accept Juventus’ offer, created discontent among the Bologna fans.
And apparently he won’t be the only one to leave the Emilian capital: many of the big names in the squad seem destined to move on, attracted by the proposals made by the greats of our league. From Joshua Zirkzee to Riccardo Calafiori via Aebischer, under the Two Towers there is a fear of a real exodus.
Another profile on the scent of farewell is the Swiss winger Dan Ndoye, a twenty-three year old winger capable of carrying out the two phases with great effectiveness. It lit up on him Inter’s concrete interest who by the end of the transfer window could be deprived of the current owner of the right wing, Denzel Dumfries.
Bologna, Vincenzo Italiano is furious: Ndoye is also leaving
As reported by “La Gazzetta dello Sport“, the Italian champion club has in fact put itself in its sights Ndoye in the event of the Dutchman’s sale, on the notebook of many Premier League clubs. Deputy sporting director Dario Baccin is carefully following the Swiss winger currently involved in Euro 2024.
Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio they would have already had exploratory contacts with Bologna who are currently evaluating Ndoye no less than 25 million of Euro. The negotiation has not yet taken off, also in light of the general immobility that reigns in this first market segment.
Inter, transfer market in progress: Ndoye is Simone Inzaghi’s favourite
Simone Inzaghi asked the management to be able to have a staff of 22-23 players of the same or almost the same level, in order to be able to field an always competitive team in the league and in Europe.
Dan Ndoye represents a welcome solution above all because he is able to interpret the roles of low and high winger with the same ease with both a three-man and four-man defence. In the coming weeks, Inter’s management will make its assessments on the merits.
