«Serious critical issues in the department Obstetrics And Gynecology of the Fazzi Of Lecce». The alarm about the insufficiency of doctors is raised by the Fsi-USAe trade unionist, Francesco Perrone. «In particular – he writes – the limited number of hospital professionals is highlighted, compared to employment standards. It is therefore regrettable to note that the role of Obstetrics and Gynecology doctors is not considered of primary importance in the largest Hub in the province of Lecce. Currently – adds Perrone – out of a total of 20 medical managers, 7 are exempt from night and holiday shifts and one has been sent to another hospital for over a year. Shortages in staffing therefore risk compromising maternal and child healthcare. Therefore – concludes the trade unionist – it is necessary to make new hires in the department”
