Clerici from Brescia, one of the leaders in Italy in the plumbing and heating and bathroom furniture products sector, announces the 100% acquisition of the share capital of Mara spa, a Sardinian company specialized in bathroom furniture, electrical and thermo-hydraulic systems. Headquarters in Sassari, Mara spa has 3 sales points with showrooms in Sassari, Alghero and Olbia, employs over 50 people and closed 2023 with a turnover of over 30 million euros.
“The operation – Clerici says in a note – represents the first acquisition in Sardinia and the thirteenth in the last 5 years. Through a business model built on a widespread presence in the territory, together with a policy of selective purchases of companies with an already loyal clientele, Clerici has progressively expanded the product offering and geographical coverage, now also reaching the islands, for a total of 18 brands in 10 regions and over 120 points of sale”.
In 2023 turnover of 785 million euros
In 2023 Clerici recorded a turnover of 785 million euros, an improvement of 2.4% compared to the 767 million of the previous year: the ebitda stood at 142 million, an incidence of 18.1% of the turnover, while net profit was 77 million euros. Among the best performing brands is certainly Storm, a private label on the market for over 20 years: in 2023 the brand recorded revenues of 146 million euros, +17.3% compared to 2022. Clerici’s stores are currently present in Lombardy, Trentino Alto Adige, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Liguria, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Marche, Umbria and now Sardinia.
