Calamandrei was mentioned by the mayor, Alan Fabbri, by the Prefect, Massimo Marchesiello but also by various members of the Committee for the Celebrations of 25 April: composed of the Municipality, Province, Prefecture of Ferrara, together with bodies, cultural, religious and military associations of the territory, coordinated by the contemporary history institute of Ferrara

In the Cathedral, reopened at the end of March after six years of post-earthquake restoration, a bouquet of flowers was placed to remember Monsignor Ruggero Bovelli, who defended the city from the bombings of the allies but also those persecuted by fascism
