Gricignano of Aversa. Under house arrest, arrested guilty of drug trafficking

When this morning the carabinieri from the Gricignano di Aversa station, in the Caserta area, arrived at the home of the 37-year-old, already subjected to the precautionary measure of house arrest, it was not for a routine check.

The man, already arrested on a precautionary custody order on 6 July 2020, during a vast operation coordinated by the Neapolitan Anti-Mafia District Directorate, as he was held responsible, together with 17 other people, for trafficking in narcotic substances with the aggravating circumstance of having committed the act in order to facilitate the Casalesis clan – Schiavone faction, this morning he was notified of the imprisonment order issued by the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic at the Court of Appeal of Naples.

Just under four years after his arrest he was found guilty of association aimed at the production, trafficking and possession of narcotic substances, crimes committed in the municipalities of Casal di Principe, Carinaro and Gricignano di Aversa in 2020.

After the ritual formalities, as ordered by the judicial authority, he was taken by the carabinieri to the district house of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, where he will have to serve the 10-year prison sentence.
