Among those present, in addition to the Commander of the Carabinieri Legion “Puglia”, General of Division Stefano Spagnol, all the Commanders of the Forestry Corps of the Region.

Brigadier General Antonio Danilo MOSTACCHI,

63 years old, born in Foggia, married with one son, he is Brigadier General of the Carabinieri, of the initial forestry role; graduated in Forestry Sciences, he is qualified to practice as an agronomist and forestry doctor and taught the subject of “forestry and environmental legislation” at the University of Basilicata from 2016 to 2018, as a contract professor.

from 1987 to 1989 he performed military service as an artillery officer at the 28th “Livorno” Group in Tarcento (UD), in the “Mantova” Mechanized Brigade, taking leave with the

rank of lieutenant.

In 1989 he began serving in the State Forestry Corps, carrying out various administrative, logistical and operational roles at the General Directorate of Rome.

From 1990 to 2005 he was responsible for the clothing and equipment supply sector; in 1998 you attended the qualification course for eurotutors at the Scuola Superiore della

Public Administration, subsequently taking care, as manager, of the implementation of the training program for the introduction of the euro in the Ministry for Agricultural Policies.

From 2002 to 2008 he was responsible for the National Dog Center and from 2003 to 2008 for the National Center for Horse Services and the Horse Honor Department, as well as for the National Armament and Shooting Center from 2004 to 2005.

From 2006 to 2007 he commanded the Regional Forest Fire Operations Center of Lombardy.

Promoted to First Manager, from 2009 to 2012, he held the position of Head of the Training Department of the Central Schools Service, coordinating the carrying out of training activities

at the premises of the State Forestry Corps School.

From 2012 to 2014 he directed the 8th Division – Infrastructure and workplace safety – at the General Inspectorate of Rome.

Promoted to Senior Manager, from 2014 to 2016, he was Regional Commander of Basilicata, as well as, ad interim, from 2014 to 2015, Regional Commander of Calabria and Sicily.

During his service in the State Forestry Corps, at the Police Force Coordination Office of the Department of Public Security, he participated in numerous working groups on

various technical-operational issues of national interest.

At the Higher Police School he held the position of manager of management training courses for the staff of the State Forestry Corps several times, as well as holding numerous lessons on the dynamics relating to the managerial and management functions of complex bodies in the institutional context.

He has given numerous talks on the organizational model and the tasks and functions of the State Forestry Corps at the Specialization School for the Police Forces and the Officers’ School of the Carabinieri.

Since 2017, pursuant to legislative decree no. 177/2016, with the absorption of the State Forestry Corps into the Carabinieri, he held the position of Commander of the “Basilicata” Forestry Carabinieri Region until 30 April 2018, subsequently assuming the role of Commander

of the Carabinieri Forestry Region “Puglia” until 17 September 2023.

In his speech, Gen. B. Antonio D. Mostacchi, in offering his successor the most fervent wishes for good work, expressed deep satisfaction for the experience lived in the five years of

its mandate, thanking the staff for the qualified and competent collaboration provided in order to guarantee the protection of the environment and forestry heritage, biodiversity and agri-food safety, as well as for the protection of the landscape and the protection of natural resources and

of wildlife in favor of the territory and the Apulian community.
